ULAB HULT Prize Grand Finale Concludes

The Grand Finale of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) HULT Prize concluded on 11th February 2020 via Google Meet and broadcasted via Facebook Live. Team BaxSpace was declared the winner.

HULT Prize is an esteemed business competition that sources unique and sustainable business ideas from the leaders of tomorrow. This year the theme for the competition was “Food for Good”. The ULAB HULT Prize Committee in collaboration with ULAB Co-curricular Office organized the 5-month long event. Team BaxSpace was declared the Winners along with Team Peacemakers and Team FooDonorsas Runners Up and Second Runners Up of the ULAB HULT Prize among 11 other finalists. All three teams will represent ULAB in the HULT Prize Regional competition.

The esteemed panel of judges included Professor Imran RahmanDean of ULAB School of Business; Mr. Mohammad YeasinTutul, Managing Director of YN Group of Industries and Sponsor of ULAB HULT Prize, Mr. Zia Ashraf, Co-founder, and CEO of Chaldal.com; Mr. AshikulAlam Khan, Founder and CEO of Priyoshop.com; and Mr. Fahad Iftaz, Co-founder and CEO of ifarmer.Asia.

Professor Dr. H.M. JahirulHaque, Vice-Chancellor of ULAB, graced the event as the Chief Guests.

ULAB Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. H.M. JahirulHaque said, “ULAB always encourages co-curricular and extra co-curricular activities because to be successful one must have some extraordinary soft skills and abilities,” while encouraging the participants.

The plethora of events came to a close with the winner announcement and vote of thanks delivered by the organizing body heads – Mr. Mehdi Rajeb, Director of ULAB Co-Curricular Office and Assistant Professor of ULAB School of Business; Mr. N M BakiBillah, Advisor of ULAB HULT Prize and Senior Lecturer of ULAB School of Business as well as the Campus Director – ShakibaHossanTanha for the program.

The dates for HULT Prize Regionals are yet to be announced.
