"The online application for the seat in JnU's only student hall for female students starts from October 1"

After a long wait, the application for the only student hall of Jagannath University, Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall is going to be started.

Any female student of JnU can apply for the hall seat from October 1, 2021, online. Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall Provost Professor. Dr. Shamima Begum has confirmed this to the representatives of JnU Reporters Unity. Notice in this regard will be published by tomorrow. She said that all the necessary steps have been taken so that the students can get in the hall quickly.

It may be mentioned that on December 22, 2013, the then Honourable Education Minister of the Government of Bangladesh, Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, MP laid the foundation stone of Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall in Banglabazar and on 20th October 2014(the 9th University Day) the start of work for the hall was inaugurated by the then Chairman of Bangladesh University Grants Commission. State Minister, Professor. Dr. AK Azad Chowdhury.

After about 6 years, the construction work was completed and on October 20, 2020, the then Vice-Chancellor of JnU Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman announced the happy inauguration of the hall. Professor Dr Shamima Begum is currently in charge of the hall and Associate Professor Dr. Protiva Rani Karmokar is a residential teacher.

Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, the process of getting students in the hall has not started for so long. But from October 7, 2021, the examination is going to be held in JnU physically. There were several rumors about getting the female students in the hall but the rumors weren’t true. The students are hopeful that there is no chance to go back this time. However, the hall will not be opened until classes begin on campus.
